Barbara Knass Killed in 2-Car Accident near Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road in Rancho Cucamonga

Rancho Cucamonga, California (January 14, 2020) – 86-year-old Barbara Knass of Rancho Cucamonga was killed and an 18-year-old man injured in a two-car accident on Sunday evening in Rancho Cucamonga.

The accident took place near Wilson Avenue and San Sevaine Road at about 5:15 p.m. January 12.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a white 2018 Nissan Sentra driven by Knass was traveling westbound on Wilson Avenue. At the same time, a 2011 Nissan 300ZX was heading eastbound on the same road.

Knass reportedly made an unsafe left turn in front of the Nissan causing the two vehicles to collide.

Knass was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The unidentified driver of the second car was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
