California (January 13, 2020) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident
in Leemore, Kings County, on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Highway 41 and Hanford Armona Road.
As per the report, a woman was jaywalking near the
intersection when she was hit by a car.
The unidentified woman was killed in the accident.
The driver pulled over and cooperated with the authorities.
The motorist told the officers that he tried to swerve but
could not avoid hitting the pedestrian.
Southbound lanes of Highway 41 at Hanford Armona were closed as the authorities examined the scene.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
