At least 43 people are reported dead in Pakistan and Afghanistan after heavy rainfall and snowfall hit the countries.

The authorities have urged people to evacuate as efforts to clear and reopen the roadway continue.

According to local media reports, Pakistan’s Balochistan province was the worst affected. 25 people are reported to have been killed in the country.
