Boy Killed in Pico Rivera Pedestrian Accident at Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue


Pico Rivera, California (January 12, 2020) – A man has been arrested following a deadly hit-and-run pedestrian accident that killed a 15-year-old boy in Pico Rivera on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 3 p.m. January 10, at the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The boy and three other pedestrians were walking in a crosswalk when the boy was hit by a southbound truck.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

The motorist fled the scene but was later located by Whittier Police Department’s officers.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
