Turlock, California (January 10, 2020) – A 78-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident that happened in Turlock on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 6 p.m. January 9, on East Avenue near North Rose Street.

Turlock Police Department said the woman was walking down the street when a vehicle hit her.

The woman was killed in the accident.

The identity of the woman was not publicly disclosed.

The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No other information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
