Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Car at El Camino and Helen Avenue in Sunnyvale


Sunnyvale, California (January 8, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in Sunnyvale, the police said.

The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at around 6:15 a.m. January 7, at the intersection of El Camino Real and Helen Avenue.

The man was walking near the intersection when he was hit by the vehicle.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The name of the deceased was not publicly disclosed.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
