1 Seriously Injured in Tehama County Car Accident on Highway 99 at Gerber Road


Tehama County, California (January 7, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic accident that happened on Tuesday morning in the Gerber area of Tehama County, leaving at least one person with severe injuries.

The accident was reported at about 7:51 a.m. January 7, on Highway 99 at Gerber Road.

A bus reportedly ran a stop sign and collided with a second vehicle at the intersection.

The police said the bus ended up in the nearby field while the Ford sustained major front-end damage during the collision.

 The CHP said at least one person was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
