Man Killed in Hawthorne Car Crash on 405 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue Identified


Hawthorne, California (January 8, 2020) – 35-year-old Adam Herrera has been identified as the man who was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night in Hawthorne, the California Highway Patrol said.

The fatal accident happened on 405 Freeway near W Rosecrans Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. January 7.

The authorities said and a 2007 Infiniti SUV were involved in the crash.

Herrera was driving a 2009 Honda Civic sedan when he lost control and crashed. A 2007 Infiniti SUV that was traveling north in the carpool lane crashed into the Honda.

Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Two people in the Infiniti sustained minor injuries in the accident.

No other information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
