At least four people died and ten others were wounded after a car bomb exploded near Somali parliament on Wednesday.
According to reports by local media, the explosion happened at a checkpoint near Somalia’s parliament.
Al-Qaeda-linked group Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the deadly arrack.
The police said a vehicle packed with explosives was trying to pass through the checkpoint but was stopped by the authorities, prompting a suicide bomber to detonate it.
The country’s capital Mogadishu has experienced a rise in the attacks carried out by the armed group.
Al-Shabaab has been trying to topple the government for more than a decade.
