3 Drivers Injured in Costa Mesa Crash at 19th Street and Meyer Place

3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident at 19th Street and Meyer Place in Costa Mesa


Costa Mesa, California (January 7, 2020) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Costa Mesa on Monday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 19th Street and Meyer Place in front of the Costa Mesa Department of Motor Vehicles at about 12:30 p.m.

An SUV, a pickup truck and a compact car were involved in the accident. Although the manner in which the accident occurred was not immediately established, the SUV is reported to have rolled over after the crash.

Firefighters had to extricate the SUV driver who was trapped inside the vehicle after the collision before rushing him to a nearby trauma center.

The other two drivers also sustained injuries in the accident.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
