La Mesa, California (January
8, 2020) – A pedestrian was
seriously injured after being hit by a car in La Mesa on Tuesday night, January
7, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian happened on Grossmont Center Drive at Center Drive at about 6:15 p.m.
La Mesa police said a man was walking in a crosswalk when he
was hit by a 2004 Nissan SUV that was making a turn onto Grossmont Center
from Center Drive.
The unidentified pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident
and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car, a 41-year-old Poway resident was
arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No other information was provided.
