Tokyo prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for the wife of the ex-Nissan boss, Carlos Ghosn.
Mr. Ghosn skipped bail in December and fled the country and is reported to have joined his wife in Beirut, Lebanon.
Ghosn was arrested in November 2019 and was facing multiple corruption charges, including financial misconduct and of making false statements to a Tokyo court in April.
The court is seeking the extradition of Mr. Ghosn. However, Lebanon has no existing extradition agreement with Japan.
The former head of car giant Nissan-Renault skipped bail in December 2019 and boarded a private jet to Turkey before traveling to Lebanon, where he is a citizen.
