At least thirty-five people were killed in a stampede during the funeral procession of the slain Iran top commander, Qassem Soleimani.
Hundreds of thousands of supporters gathered in the Iranian city of Kerman on Tuesday for the burial of the commander who was killed in a US airstrike on Friday.
Soleiman, who was the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, was assassinated on Friday while leaving the international airport of Iraq’s capital, Baghdad.
According to local media reports, the stampede erupted in the city, killing at least thirty five people.
Other forty-eight people were wounded in the incident.
