1 Killed in Santa Ana Train Accident at Hunter Avenue and Grand Avenue


Santa Ana, California (January 7, 2020) – One person was killed in a collision between a car and a train on Monday afternoon in Santa Ana.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. January 6, in the area of East Hunter Avenue and South Grand Avenue.

Santa Ana police said a Metrolink OC Line 689 train and a vehicle collided in the area for unknown reasons.

One person inside the car was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

None of the passengers on the train, which was heading to downtown LA’s Union Station, were injured in the crash.
