San Diego, Calif (January 7, 2020) – A 71-year-old man was killed in a traffic collision at an intersection in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, on Monday evening.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision occurred at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rancho Bernardo Road and Meandro Road.
The San Diego Police Department said a 23-year-old woman in a 2001 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was heading eastbound on Rancho Bernardo Road when a 71-year-old male driver in a 2018 Chevrolet Volt made a left turn right in front of her.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman hospitalized with major injuries, including a broken tailbone and a broken collarbone.
No further information about the accident was provided.
