Riverside, California (January 4, 2020) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Riverside on Saturday evening.

According to a police statement, the accident happened on La Sierra Avenue near Cypress Avenue at about 6 p.m.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s or 40s, was injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

All southbound lanes of La Sierra Avenue were closed as the authorities examined the scene.
