Selma, California (January 5, 2020) – A man was hit and killed by a train on Saturday afternoon in Selma, the police said.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. January 4, in the area of Golden State Boulevard and Nebraska Avenue.

Selma Police Department said a man in his 50s was walking on the tracks and was hit by the train.

The man was killed in the accident.

The identity of the man was not immediately disclosed.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
