Petaluma, California (January 4, 2020) – Max Durney has been identified as the 70-year-old man who was injured in a bicycle accident in Petaluma on Thursday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at about 8:37 p.m. January 2, on Ely Road near Corona Road.

As per the report, Durney was riding a bicycle in the area when he was hit by a vehicle.

The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Information about the motorist was not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
