Huntington Beach, California (January 3, 2019) – A woman who was killed in an alleged DUI crash in Huntington
Beach on Wednesday night has been identified as 61-year-old Susan Palmer.
According to the authorities, the accident happened at about 9:25 p.m. January 1, on Gothard Street near Cedar Avenue.
A 2013 Nissan Rogue was reportedly traveling
northbound in the southbound lanes of Gothard Street when it collided head-on
with a southbound 2016 Kia Soul.
Palmer, who was riding in the Kia suffered
major injuries and was rushed to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she died
while undergoing treatment.
The driver of the Kia and one other passenger
were treated for minor injuries.
A 17-year-old Westminster boy was treated for
minor injuries before being arrested on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter
The accident remains under investigation.
