Three people were killed after a bus was ambushed by armed gunmen near the Kenyan coastal town of Lamu.
According to a report by the country’s defense ministry, the bus was traveling from Mombasa to Lamu near the Somali border when it was stopped by the gunmen before opening fire.
Three people on board were killed in the attack.
Two other people were wounded in the attack and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Although the attackers were not immediately identified, the Al-Shabaab armed group has been carrying out similar attacks in the region.
Kenyan security forces are pursuing the assailants.
