Authorities said one person died after being stabbed with a knife Friday morning at a restaurant in Austin, Texas.
Austin Police said the incident started with an altercation at a local coffee shop at around 8:00 a.m. local time.
According to authorities, the suspect, a 27-year-old man, was involved in an altercation, but customers intervened and detained them.
When first responders arrived, the suspect broke away and took off, running towards a Freebirds World Burrito restaurant.
The suspect stabbed two people at the restaurant with a knife. One of the victims died of their injuries.
The man then fled and got on to the roof of the restaurant and jumped off.
Officers arrested him and is now in custody. He sustained unspecified injuries from the jump.
