Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Train near Morena Boulevard and Asher Street in Bay Park


Bay Park, California ( January 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train early Thursday morning in Bay Park, San Diego County Sheriff’s office said.

The fatal accident was reported at around 1:15 a.m. January 2, near the intersection of Morena Boulevard and Asher Street.

It was unclear what led to the collision.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed pending notification of the family.

No further information regarding the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
