A 43-year-old single mother who works as an Uber driver accomplished her goal of graduating from college after one of her passengers who she shared her life story with paid off her college debt.

LaTonya Young was working as a hairstylist “by day” and an Uber driver “by night” when she met the “angel.”

Young was driving a stranger to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for an Atlanta game when she shared her life story with the passenger.

Young told Kevin Esch that she dropped out of college at age 16 after she gave birth to her first child and that she had recently dropped out of Georgia State University since she had an unpaid balance of $700.

Young said every time she got ready to pay the money, her kids needed something and decided to wait.

After the trip with Esch, Georgia State called telling her that she can register for classes.

Esch had paid her debt.

Young earned her associate’s degree a few weeks ago, and Esch attended the graduation.

She now plans to get back to class and pursue a bachelor’s degree.
