Bakersfield, California (January 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car early Wednesday morning in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened at about 1:15 a.m. January 1, in the area of Parker Avenue and Oriole Street.
A pedestrian was reportedly walking in the area and was hit by a car for unknown reasons.
The authorities said the pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a local hospital.
Sadly, the unidentified man died while undergoing treatment.
No other information was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
