Live Oak, California (January 1, 2020) – 40-year-old Jeremy Barrington has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision between a pickup truck and a big rig in Live Oak, Sutter County, on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision occurred at about 8:30 a.m. December 30, on Highway 99 near Paseo Avenida to Clark Road.
A 2000 GMC pickup truck was traveling northbound on Highway 99 when it drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2014 Peterbilt semi-truck that was transporting over 76,000 pounds of manure.
Barrington who was driving the pickup truck was killed in the accident.
The semi-truck driver, 51-year-old Thomas L. Pacheco, Jr. of Turlock, sustained minor injuries in the accident.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
