California City, California (December 31, 2019) – 41-year-old Jeffery Wayne Mills has been identified as the man
who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Monday afternoon in
California City.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. December 30, in the 7000 block of California City Boulevard, between Yerba Boulevard and Victor Way.
The circumstances
leading to the collision were not immediately established.
The police said the
driver, 23-year-old Davion Roberson-Culver, abandoned his car and fled the
scene but was later arrested.
Mills was pronounced
dead at the scene.
No further details about
the accident were provided.
The accident remains
under investigation.
