Bakersfield, California (December 31, 2019) – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving an electric bike and a pickup truck in Bakersfield on Monday morning.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at the intersection of Bernard and Miller streets.

The California Highway Patrol said an electric bike traveling eastbound when it was struck by a pickup truck.

The rider sustained leg injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
