Madera, California (December 29, 2019) – A woman was killed and a 21-year-old man seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a business facility in Madera on Saturday night.
According to the authorities, the deadly collision occurred at around 8:15 p.m. in the area of Knox Street and Almond Avenue.
19-year-old Isaiah Moore was reportedly driving a black sedan in the area when he lost control and crashed into a business.
A woman who was in the facility at the time of the crash was seriously injured and was rushed to Madera Community Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The Madera Police Department said a male passenger in the car involved suffered severe injuries and was taken to a Fresno hospital for treatment.
Moore was arrested and booked into Madera County Jail on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The identities of the victims were not disclosed pending notification of their next of kin.
The accident remains under investigation.
