Costa Mesa, California (December 27, 2019) – 28-year-old Ricardo Castorena of Santa Ana has been
identified as the worker who was killed in a workplace accident on Friday night
in Costa Mesa, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The deadly accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. December 20, at Ganahl Lumber Company in the 1100 block of Bristol Street.
As per a local news report, Castorena was
working when a big pile of wood weighing thousands of pounds fell and pinned
him against a forklift.
Castorena was pronounced dead by the
paramedics who responded to the scene shortly after the incident.

The California Occupational Safety and Health
Administration is investigating the accident.
