Lancaster, California (December 28, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identities of two people who were injured in a deadly car accident that left one person dead in Lancaster on Thursday afternoon.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. December 26, on Highway 138 near 90th Street West.
The authorities said 41-year-old Leslie Billings of Colorado was driving a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe on Highway 138 when she lost control and collided head-on with a 2007 Freight-liner truck.
A passenger in the Hyundai was killed in the accident.
Billings and a passenger identified as 41-year-old Jonni Wallace of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, were hospitalized with major injuries.
The condition of the truck driver was not immediately disclosed.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
