At least five people were killed in an airstrike in Syria’s eastern province of Deir Az Zor on Wednesday evening.
According to reports by local media, missiles of unidentified origin were dropped over the headquarters of the 47th Brigade of pro-Iranian militias.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that five fighters were killed in the attack.
The vast desert province of Deir Az Zor hosts several actors in the Syrian conflict including the Syrian Democratic Forces, a Kurdish-dominated armed group backed by the United States.
Twenty-eight pro-Iranian fighters were killed in similar attacks in September.
