A Texas barber is nursing gunshot wounds after he was allegedly shot by a man after an altercation over his 13-year-old son’s haircut.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a barbershop on Franz Road in Katy, near Houston, where an employee had been reportedly shot by a customer who fled the scene.
The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, a black man, complained to the barber that his son’s haircut was done improperly, and then decided to go home.
The man returned to the barbershop later, and the barber agreed to fix the haircut for free.
An altercation erupted, and the male barber was shot by the customer three times.
The victim was taken to a hospital and remains in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene after the incident.
Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the suspect who may be driving a gray 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda Accord.
