Jacob Lopez Hit and Killed by Car on Alabama Street near 10 Freeway in Redlands


Redlands, California (December 22, 2019) – 21-year-old Jacob Lopez of Colton has been identified as the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday morning in Redlands.

According to a local news source, the fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 4:40 a.m. December 19, on Alabama Street near Interstate 10 Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol said Lopez was walking near the freeway when he was hit by a westbound GMC Sierra driven by a 59-year-old Redlands resident.

Lopez was killed in the accident.

Information about the motorist was not provided.                  

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
