California (December 22, 2019) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle
collision in Palo Cedro on Saturday morning, December 21.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at
about 10:30 a.m. on Highway 44 near Stillwater Road.
The California Highway
Patrol said a Subaru was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a Chevy Silverado
for unknown reasons.
The impact of the collision
caused the Silverado to overturn while the Subaru crashed into a blue Audi.
The driver of the Audi
was killed in the accident.
The other two drivers
were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Westbound lanes of the
highway were closed for more than an hour.
