Palo Cedro, California (December 22, 2019) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Palo Cedro on Saturday morning, December 21.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Highway 44 near Stillwater Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a Subaru was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a Chevy Silverado for unknown reasons.
The impact of the collision caused the Silverado to overturn while the Subaru crashed into a blue Audi.
The driver of the Audi was killed in the accident.
The other two drivers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Westbound lanes of the highway were closed for more than an hour.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
