Humboldt, California (December 19, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identities of two drivers who were killed in a car accident on Highway 101 in Humboldt County on Wednesday morning.
The fatal collision occurred at about 9:20 a.m. on Highway 101 near Benbow Drive, according to a local news source.
32-year-old Teiwaz Steenblock-Smith was reportedly driving a 1994 Honda Accord northbound on Highway 101 when he crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Prius driven by 44-year-old Jamie Mae Sanchez.
Both drivers were declared dead at the scene.
Two dogs inside the Honda were also killed in the accident.
The authorities were yet to determine whether drugs and alcohol were factors in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
