Oxnard, California (December 20, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Oxnard, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at around 4:16 p.m. Thursday, December 19 at the intersection of C Street and Coach C Lane.

Authorities said the pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, was crossing the street when he was hit by a pickup truck that was making a left turn onto southbound C Street from Coach C Lane.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the boy suffering a head injury. The victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center and was later airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where he was listed in critical condition.
