Gunman Kills 1 in Shooting at Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) Headquarters

The Attack Happened Hours after President Putin's Annual Press Conference


At least one person was killed in a shooting that left five people wounded in central Moscow, local media reported.

The deadly shooting happened at the headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) shortly after 18:00 (15:00 GMT), just hours after President Putin’s annual press conference.

The authorities said a gunman opened fire with an automatic weapon at the entrance of the building before he was neutralized by an armed officer.

Two officers were among those who were injured in the attack.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the shooting.
