Atwater, California (December 19, 2019) – A woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Monday night in Atwater.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at Santa Fe Drive and Wallace Road at about 9:30 p.m. December 16.

77-year-old Maria Luna from Winton and a man were walking near the intersection when a car hit them.

Luna was killed in the accident.

The unidentified man was injured in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Information about the motorist was not provided. An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
