San Diego, California (December 17, 2019) – A 47-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in North Park, San Diego, on Monday afternoon.
The pedestrian accident occurred at about 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Park Way and 31st Street, San Diego Police said.
A 47-year-old man was driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla and was turning left from the westbound North Park Way onto 31st Street when it struck the woman.
The woman sustained a skull fracture, brain bleeding and facial injuries. She was taken to a hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
