Sacramento, California (December 17, 2019) – A man who was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident in Sacramento last month, November 29, has died.

According to a local news source, the accident happened in the area of West Capitol Avenue and Pecan Street at about 8:21 p.m.

The authorities said 27-year-old Devon McEwen, of Reno, was walking in the area and was hit by a dark-colored Toyota sedan.

McEwen sustained serious head injuries and was transported to the hospital where he died on Monday, December 16.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No other information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
