Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake Strikes Central California Tuesday Morning

Earthquake Reported near Paso Robles in California


A magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported in a mountainous area of Central California Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake occurred just before 10:30 a.m. PT.

USGS said the quake occurred along the border of Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties. Nearby communities include Paso Robles, Parkfield, Cholame, and Coalinga.

Many people in the affected area reported the quake to the USGS.
