Perris, California (December 15, 2019) – John Rubio, 33, a Perris resident, was identified as the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred in Riverside County on Friday night.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 7 p.m. December 13, on State Route 74 near River Road, between Perris and Lake Elsinore.

The California Highway Patrol said the man had alighted from a bus and was running across the eastbound lanes when he was hit by a Dodge Caravan driven by Veronica Andrade, 31, of Lake Elsinore.

The man was also hit by a passing Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Liliana Avila, 48, of Lake Elsinore.

Rubio was killed in the accident.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
