The Houthi rebels in Yemen have called for international help in dealing with an oil leak from a tanker off the country’s coast near the port of Ras Isa, north of Hodeidah.
The deserted oil tanker continues to leak oil into the Red Sea posing a potential environmental disaster.
Both the Houthi fighters and the Yemeni government claim ownership of the eroding ship containing more than one million barrels of crude oil.
There are fears that the tanker could explode due to the buildup of gases in the storage tanks.
