1 Killed in DUI Car Crash on Highway 280 near Wolfe Road in Cupertino


Cupertino, California (December 14, 2019) – 22-year-old Anthony Lipscomb was arrested in connection with a suspected DUI car accident that left one person dead on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred on Highway 280 near Wolfe Road at about 1:17 a.m. December 11.

Lipscomb was driving a silver Hyundai southbound on Highway 280 when he rear-ended a silver Kia Soul. The impact of the collision sent the Kia off the roadway where it crashed into a tree.

The Kia driver was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.

The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lipscomb was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No other information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
