Woman, 70, Fatally Struck by Bus at El Camino Real and James Avenue in Redwood City


Redwood City, California (December 12, 2019) – A woman was fatally hit by a car in Redwood City on Thursday morning, according to a local news source.

The fatal auto-pedestrian accident occurred along El Camino Real at James Avenue at about 8:45 a.m.

A 70-year-old woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a SamTrans bus for unknown reasons.

The woman, whose identity was not publicly disclosed, was killed in the accident.

There were four passengers on board the bus at the time of the accident. None of the passengers were injured in the accident.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Transit Police Bureau is investigating the cause of the fatal auto-pedestrian accident.
