Sonora, California (December 13, 2019) – Four people were injured in a car accident in Twain Harte, Sonora, on Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred at Highway 108 and Twain Harte Drive at about 4:50 p.m. December 11, according to a local news source.

The California Highway Patrol said a 26-year-old Twain Harte woman was driving a 2008 Subaru on Highway 108 and was making a turn at the intersection when it collided with a 2012 Infiniti.

The Subaru caught fire after the crash.

The unidentified woman was seriously injured and was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto while her one-year-old male passenger was taken to Adventist Health Sonora, and later to UC Davis Medical Center.

61-year-old Sandra Vierra and 70-year-old Patrick Vierra who were riding in the Infiniti were taken to Adventist Health Sonora for treatment of moderate to major injuries.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
