San Jose, California (December 12, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in West San Jose on Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal auto-pedestrian occurred at about 6 p.m. December 12, in the area of Bollinger Road and Wunderlich Drive.
A man was reportedly walking in the area when he was hit by a 2016 Subaru that was traveling westbound.
The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The identity of the pedestrian was not immediately disclosed.
The female driver of the Subaru remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
