Antioch, California (December
12, 2019) – Major injuries were reported in an accident involving a
semi-truck in Antioch, South Sacramento, on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident
happened at about 1 p.m. on Highway 160 near Antioch Bridge.
The authorities said a Toyota Corolla and a semi-truck were
involved in the accident. Although the manner in which the collision occurred was
not immediately established, the semi-truck is reported to have caught fire
after the collision.
The car driver was seriously injured in the crash and was
flown to a local hospital for treatment.
