According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal
collision occurred in the 7000 block of Corbin Avenue near Sherman Way at about
A man had parked a pickup truck on the curb and was
attempting to make a U-turn when it was struck by a passing FedEx truck.
The impact of the collision sent the pickup truck into the front yard of a nearby home.
The driver of the pickup truck was killed in the accident.
The FedEx truck driver sustained minor injuries.
