At least eight people were killed after a fire broke out in a factory in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report by the police, the fire swept through the Prime Patent Plastic factory at Keraniganj an unspecified time in the afternoon. About 150 laborers were working in the illegal factory when the fire broke out.
Eight people were killed in the inferno while thirty-three others were transported to the hospital in critical conditions after sustaining serious burns. Doctor Samanta Lal Sen said the death toll could rise.
The cause of the devastating fire was not immediately established.
